I think a few things.
The swarming hornet drop shot bait was 1 for sure.
The revenge tail spin.
The new zip baits crank and also the new jackall cranks.
not new but sure glad they were there was net bait.
The robo worms were not that big a deal to me unlike for many of you.

I thought the best new bait was the Mattlures new bluegill with the fins that flair out. Its just cheating. Other then that I thought the 2 limited Hudd colors were cool. Nothing else realy jumped out at me.

 Only Bass fishermen would forget the ladies. Thank you Seig for bringing the crew they were real troopers as usual and thank you also for getting the pictures of all the hard working folks and their respective labors of love. I'm kinda on the same page as Ray L. on the product list I have a bag on my work bench with the swarming Hornets new aluminum dropshot head and the Revenge tailspin was a must for me ( Thank you Mr. Barron for digging so deep for me ). I liked the new Hold Over Huddelston and two of the signed and numbered Tiger's somehow made it into my bag  . I consider the new Bill Siemental SPRO BBZ to have broken some new ground if only because of the price and am looking forward to their first trip with me to the lake.. Now that was what I liked. I will go on record here saying the WORST also. I didn't buy them I won them and a shirt and some other great products in the Raffle while waiting for the boat game. When I got back to my seat I was kind of bummed with the one product at the show I had seen that I doubt any serious angler would be caught dead with....And so I give the Honorary "perpetual" Bill Dance Elver eel Award To: MOJO Baits. No really I'm being to kind  That is the fuggliest mouse or whatever jig I have ever seen ever bar none! If anyone wants mine and is willing to pay the postage on 3 ounces of lead and a zillion ruberbands cut and artistically shaped to catch only the big'ns give me a P.M. and they are yours. I won't even give them to My buddies kid up at Clearlake as I don't want to stunt his learning curve. I think they are embarassing and to tell the truth maybe I won't give away but hold them for ransom. Enough...Somebody must have thought they looked good and spent a lot of time on them It just didn't work for me. Sorry  Sometimes (always?) I get carried away. I am in the market for a new jig as the one I used to use is history so If anybody has any new jig makers for me to look into I'm all ears.

How about the new 22nd Century 4 joint Trout. Now we all can compete with the Uribe's. Also the soon to be released Luckycraft Rod line. Awesome. Rick G.

Gary-the tailspins look awesome, at least in a pool. Now I'll have to get them out to that minimum pool at Castaic!

As a collector and a swimbaiter the Hudd tiger trout caught my eye. Thing is with that is that lure was more art than lure. Ah yes until someone throws it in a warm water lake. Then they will catch on. I met someones beautifull wife, with the coolest son teasing everyone with a dollar bill taped to the mini rod and reel. He would set it on the floor like someone dropped it and before someone could pick it up he jerked it away. Totally fun and he actually had an audience. Yeah, he got me trying to be sly picking it up. What a great show I could go on for paragraphs.

You're getting warm basshunter4u...

Post by Ron C »

...I really didn't want to go into too much detail when I did my pre Bass-A-Thon blurb about the new Huddleston Deluxe Tiger Trout. I kind of figured that SOMEONE would do a little research on the Tiger Trout. Had they done so, they would have found that Tiger Trout (a brown trout / brook trout hybrid) live a lot closer to us than one might think; say, like, maybe the Nevada/Utah border. (Great call on the warm water lake thing Dan).

While at the Bass-A-Thon, a well known DVL swimbait chucker emphatically told Dennis Miller and I "There's nothing like that in Diamond Valley Lake". Dennis and I looked at each other and laughed. Had he taken even a quick look at the color scheme of the Huddleston Deluxe Tiger Trout (which he refused to buy) and used just a little imagination (and kept an open mind), he would have realized that it looks a lot like a ---- ...oh, never mind. (I'm sure that Rick G, Big Joe, and Little Joe figured out what it looks like - and they swim in ALL of our "bass" lakes).

Wow, those swimbaits look so real!

Kelly, I saw those mouse jigs. I thought, gee, finally a lure I don't want to buy. Funny how like minds think alike. Now watch it start to be the winning bait in a few big tourneys and watch us rush to get our hands on the, now, sold out baits!

I leaned a lot from KVD's lecture and then had to see Alabama Welch and the Mustad hook display to get some of those 'Triple Grip' reds to add to my jerkbaits.

John Barron helped me get into the new Revenge blades, even though the old ones are working real well for me lately.

The game was such fun, right to the very end.

I think McSpin's new long body tailspin was pretty awesome! I haven't got to thow it yet but if they are anything like his other two designs, it will be a winner! For those of you who don't throw his baits, he makes them with QUALITY swivels and hooks! These are some real fish catchers if put in the right hands. I seen alot of guys who had a handful down at the show but were trying to hide them.

My vote goes to the return of FLuttercraft. The first plastic worm I ever won any money with almost 20 years ago. It is back with the same 4" Hotties and Fatties and most of the original colors.
