Carpenter's tough. It has been a brutal bite at Pyramid, but Jeff can find and catch 'em!

Well I CHOKED!!!!! :( I blanked and it cost me AOY. But I tried my best, just wasn't meant to be. The best man won it! Mike Carpenter won it for the year.

Thanks for routing me on! Maybe next year.

I can't believe you let him get to my plastic bottles by the Dam I told you about before you. He must have launched first. I recognized every one of his fish. I may have to buy a Bullet so I can get to them myself before you guys.
Seriously, he knows that lake pretty well. He won the spring tourney there, too. He's just a good stick, no question.
But so are you, so next year should be fun.

While it is true that (almost) nobody remembers who came in second it IS a testamony to your skill and veracity to have bested so many other very competent anglers. The club you are in Jeff is one of, if not the best club in Sothern California. To become AOY as anyone knows requires (almost as much) luck and skill. I know this doesn't remove any of the sting but it's the thought that counts  ....Think of all the guys that were chasing YOU all year long. That always feels good! Make sure to share with your club and it will always treat you with respect. To say that you've come a long way from a guy in a green tri-hull out (trying) to CATCH a fish is an understatement. Congratulations on a great season and many more to come!

Yes Great Job this year Jeff... Just think of the things you learned spending the time you did on these local lakes... Thats something that you will always use and no one can take that away from you...

Great Job!
Mike

Thanks guys for all your support! I really was shooting for it but Pyramid has been my achilles (SP) heal of lakes. This AOY race was very close till the end and I knew that whoever won it would be the man that did there homework. Guess I need to study harder. But I am not at all sad, just makes me fish harder to reach that goal. But thanks to Brian D, Kelly, Mike F, my club members, and everyone else that was routing for me.

Dam Kelly I forgot about that old boat! Yea I have came along way since that time and still have a lot to learn.
