Now Now Brian I was againts it and I was stating my opinion all the way from Japan and I remember a little message I got from you saying everyone was for it.... OPpppsss...

Off limits won't change anything. Like Ron said, the cream of the crop will rise to the top no matter how many days you give them. It just hurts the guys who need that time on the water.

All I can say is well laugh... Maybe thats mean but glad I am still over here in Japan!!! No off limits!!!!! YEAH!!!!!

If you thought the rule sucked, where the hell were you over the summer when Paul was the only one who was vocal and opposed to it? Give it a chance. If we find out that the rule sucks, it will change, but give it a chance.

You guys sound like a bunch of crying babies, and some of us haven't even started our seasons yet. For starters, to hold Brian accountable for this off-limits deal is stupid.

Brian didn't hold a gun to anyones head and demand a change, a bunch of people (including those on this board) piled on and agreed with him. Now the wind shifted a bit and some think the grass really was greener on the other side and pile on that side.

Phua, you remember off-limits in the past, you've been around long enough. You remember that good jig bite we got on at Cachuma the weekend before the ABA tournament, and how the bite was still there a week later when you and Shephard beat us to the spot. The off-limits back then probably made you a better angler, making you use your brain and strategize since you couldn't be on the water again until gameday.

Seasonal patterns of the past will definetly help those teams who have fished for a long time, but they didn't just start out knowing them. It took time for any angler to develop a familiarity with them. You cannot shorten that learning curve by being on the water everyday of the week, that is a false hope. There are probably more teams that will benefit from taking that time away from the water and not get overloaded with the possibilities of false patterns that one day during the week can present.

I haven't begun fishing team stuff this year, but when I do you can bet I'll fish the circuits that have off-limits. It's not because I'm afraid of other teams pre-fishing during the week, it's because I know it will make me a better angler. Shouldn't that be all of our goals?

Chris I wasn't here for the first big blow out and didn't even know there was one till some of the guys brought up the old stuff. The only thing I thought was lame was that the tournaments that are held on Sunday are not off-limits the day before to allow for back to back tournaments. If you can fish the day before why does the whole week as well have to be off-limits? Alot of guys said it was unfair to the guys who work mon-fri. well what about the guys who work weekends (like ME!) and have to take tournament day off. I know we are the minority in this issue but we do exist. All of us in the Boat Industry including the Grovers, Uribe, Haring. Chris you know you worked there, are lively hood is on the Weekends. On a Sunday event those guys have been off the lake for 6 days since their last prefish instead of 1. Which we all know will play a big part in the spring. I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too!

Believe me, I feel your pain regarding the Sunday events, especially when the spawn is on and getting on the water Saturday will be a huge advantage for some. Unless you pull a BMC and stick a 14 pound sight fish during (in my best Allen Iverson voice) "PRACTICE!".

I remember how hard it was to get out on the weekends when I was still in the industry. Never as hard as it is for you boat selling guys though. It's a career decision that you and others have made which precludes you from ample practice and competition time. As Aaron can tell you, I had you guys in mind when scheduling the Top Stick Tour, avoiding all the Hall and Boat shows for competition dates. Practice dates, that's a different story. It's just a burden you're going to have to manage Big Guy.

Your going to leave us all in the dust when the FLW Tour kicks off anyhow, I'm sure you'll get your pre-fish in then.

We have been watching the new off limits closely to determine if it is going to have an impact on the lake attendance for DVL. Because we are so limited in who can fish DVL, and the no body contact rules this may have a huge impact on our ability to operate effectively. I don’t think we are the only operation that could be effected by this policy and would encourage everyone to keep in mind that lake attendance plays a large role in future fees and the availability of amenities at our southern California lakes.
