Nevada BASS Federation

Post by B Becker »

A huge thanks goes out to Tim Myers for getting the Federation up and running in the State of Nevada....we had our State qualifier this weekend on Mead.....30+ mph winds....cold as heck, and just flat out brutal.....I don't know the official results, but it took 9+ pounds to win it for two days, and it only took just over 3 pounds (for two days  ) to make the top 12.....

Let me also add that Ray Scott came in town to send us off....WOW!!! It was a dream come true to have the man that had the first classic on Lake Mead in 1971, and the founder of BASS, to come out and be there for us the entire weekend. I am in awe of this man, if you are around him, you would know what I'm talking about.....the entire BASS and ESPN staff were also on hand....we had a very low turn out in club membership, but they were positive in every aspect of the tournament....

Again, thanks Tim, you took some heat in doing this stuff, and you showed a lot of class!!!! You rock in my book!!!

Thanks Brent and Congratulations.

It was the bigggest little banquet in town on friday night and what fun.

It wouldnt be Mead in winter if it just gave up limits. I know you now have Powell on your mind but get ready for the 2007 Qualifier as it will be held in April or June, sight to be determined.

Thanks again,
Tim Myers

Tim what a great tournament. Other than the bad weather, You did a great job and I think the tournament went smooth. Thanks for every thing, I know the amount of work it took to pull this together, and you did it despite all the people who said it would not happen. Maybe next year the will stop there crying and get involved in what was one of the best times I ve had in a long time.

Thanks Tyler....I was thinking about those fish we caught last Winter......man, it was nothing like that....I haven't seen it that tough in a long time........you would have done well.....I thought of you and your patience of fishing 40+ feet of water......remember the 2 pound crappie you caught in 80+ feet in the narrows???? can you say "Blown Up"!!!!

I remember that. That was pretty strange catching a crappie there. And the only other crappie I saw on Mead ever was that huge one you caught on a spinnerbait in the wash. Weird.
