Swimbait fishing line.

Post by Rick Perez »

Thanks to everyone that responded to my request for information on reels. I purchased my first rod and reel for swimbaits and now I would like to get some feedback on line.
I will most likely be throwing Mission fish and Hudds and I know many use mono and others like braid. I sure would like to hear recommendations before I spool up.

thanks in advance.

I have some 25lb Invisx flurocarbon, would this stuff work OK?

I guessing it would not due to the lack of stretch ??

25 lb P-Line CXX for me. I've found the stretch of 25 lb mono to be critical to how I play my fish... its that last little fail safe when you need a bit of give boatside.
