I have a flipping stick built on a Talon blank that is awesome in every sense of the word! Big problem, the handle is garbage and the reel lock system is pooched. The handle is cork.
Can a whole new handle be put on this rod and the old one removed or is the rod finished?
Your suggestions and opinions are appreciated.

Re: Rod Repair
call fishermans warehouse and ask for chuck....he's awesome..
Re: Rod Repair
HANDLE CAN BE REPLACED FOR SURE.(IF HANDLE IS GLASSED OR EPOXIED TO THE BLANK, WELL THEN IT MIGHT BE A DIFFERENT THOUGHT)!! YOU WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE WHOLE ROD REWRAPED THOUGH, BECAUSE ALL GUIDES WILL HAVE TO BE REMOVED TO PERFORM THIS JOB. WILL BE LIKE BUILDING A WHOLE NEW ROD. COST I IMAGINE WOULD RUN APPROX........MORE THAN THE ROD IS WORTH (MAYBE) ??? OUR GUESS IS $ 50.00 TO $ 75.00 PROVIDING THE GUIDES ARE STILL GOOD ?
JUST A GUESS AND OUR .02

Re: Rod Repair
If the rod blank itself is still good - i.e., no major chips or scratches that could lead to failure, you could go so far as to have the blank stripped and all new guides, reel seat and handle put on.
Since you're up in Canada, I'm sure you'll want to find someone a little more local than N. California. Check some of the tackle stores in your area for leads on custom rod builders.
