Have a great time up there. It's one of my favorite lakes. Wait until you see how hard those "spots" pull.

I went to college up there in Chico and remember fishing Shasta one day. I threw out, set the hook, and caught a 9.8 lb Largemouth that fought hard. Next cast, threw out, set the hook, and this fish fought twice as hard as the nearly ten lb. Largemouth. It was a 4 1/2 lb. spot. Those things are mean!

Brian,

Do you know what time CJ will do the sign ups and will it be at the main gate?

Henry and all, we will be using the new gate to the Main Ramp and will have it open by 4 AM. Please be in the gate by at least 5:30 AM as we have to lock the gate back up at that time. Sign-ups will be at the new building down that road from 4 AM on until 6 AM.

Saturday is an open pre-fish day, as is all Saturdays preceeding our Sunday events.

Remember, there is still time to mail in your entry and save the $10 on-site registration fee, as long as I receive it by Saturday. Check out www.100percentbass.com for schedules and entry forms.

Here's the rundown on the options for 100% BASS

$10 Option
$20 Option
$30 Option
$40 Option
Exact same concept as WON's "Top 5" option. Pays the highest finishers who entered the option.

$20 Big Fish
Pays at least 3 places. Can go up depending on size of field.

$50 "Winner Take All"
I feel this is the best option of them all. Winner wins the entire pot.

100% of tournament entry and 100% of option money goes back to you guys. See you at Castaic on Sunday.

That lake sucks as far as the wind. With you being so close to DVL, get your butt out there.

Bummer... not having been out there for nearly a year, and with the water down so far, I was really counting on being able to at least get a little meter time on the water tomorrow to just figure out a plan of attack for Sunday. Sheesh... looks like a straight donation once again!

Well, since the lake is open today I guess we'll get a little meter time out there... going to get blown around quite a bit, I'm afraid, but can't be anything like day 3 at the Open I'm sure.

Thanks and congratulations to Chris (with a nice assist from Brian) for running a successful inaugural 100% Bass SC event.

Of course successful is relative, and in no way reflects this team's performance and experience, but the show was well-run.

Also nice of Bob to come down to kick it off.

Too bad the weather didn't cooperate, and the fish weren't WFO, and the Miller girls didn't show, and we didn't hit the lottery (oh, better check my tickets!), and... and... This team got their butts kicked by both the wind and the fish, but it was well worth it and I wouldn't have missed it for a penny!

GOSH that lake is down!

I'm out...
