Good spinning reel?

Post by BassNCop »

I mostly use baitcasters....Thanks to S. Greene! Anyway, I want a few spinning reels and was wondering what you guys recommend. I don't want high dollar reels....don't need to impress anyone. Just want good quality for the money.

Quantum has some great lower end 11 ball bearing reels that are around $50...

I love my shimano symetres. They are only 80 dollars and they are very smooth. The symetres are a great all around reel. Hope this helps.

I really like the Pflueger President spinning reels. They are only $60 and feel and work great!! The only downside is some of them are a little on the heavy side.

Harry-I agree with Paul....I have all Pflueger Presidents but in my opinion if you stay at the 6735 or even the 6730 they are plenty light enough. Let me know if you want to use one of mine....you live within a couple 100 yards from my dad so I am close often and can drop one by for you to try. THAT is how much I LOVE my Pfluegers! Tight Lines
