Terry, I still think Jack is around and still fishes Castaic. Those were great worms. There was another tackle store that used to be in Hacienda Heights or Covina that was pretty good in the early 70's also. Just can't remember the name, but I just turned 50 so the C.R.S. disease must be setting in. The guy that still has all the old stuff in the original packs is Kay Tsurusato. They could charge for tours of his garage. He still has Pedigo's pork. Rick G.

That shop in Covina (actually Brea) was Anglers Pro Shop. They were a Bass Fro Shop and the guy that owned it was named Alex from what I remember.

Pedgio pork? LOL. Man....its bad to remember that stuff but even worse when you actually remember using it.....

Okay, trivia.....who invented the football head? a hint would be Double Bass Boober......

Football head inventor: Rip Nunnery (Bandit Bass Lures). Rip still lives in Santa Fe Springs from what I understand. He also holds the BASS 1-Day record for a 15-bass limit at 90-15.

I recognize a few -- I see lindy's swipes, fliptails, mister twisters, jelly worms. I looked in my garage tonight and found 15 jars of old Pedigo pork some never opened. And how old are "Chicken Foot" worms? I have several colors of them. I have several Lindy's swipes and Rebel worms - (ring worms maybe). I have a couple of pics.

...I know quite a few of those, but you have some that have me stumped. My old worm experience was on the east coast (Delaware/Maryland) and I don't think we had some of those worms, but I think my 1969 Herter's worm beats most of those (if I can find it still).

But the ones that really interest me are in the lower left hand corner of the second photo...below that Twin T's salt and pepper 6" (or was that a 5" model"?). I can't remember their name, and it is driving me nuts...but it is those long skinny "tubes" by Twin T's. I still have a bunch in purple and a bunch in smoke with silver flake...and I plan to dropshot them when I get the nerve. What was their name? I bet they would kick butt dropshotted. (I remember Gary Robson from Inland Empire Bass Club killing us all one tournament on that bait)!

I might be missing a few but here are my best guesses, Mister Twister Phenom, Worth Centepede, Haddock Splittail, Lindy Worm, Action Worm, Manns Jelly Worm, Little Mutha's, Reds Worms, Fluttercraft, Original Smitty's, Even some Skinny Squids. Might have missed a few, but like I said, C.R.S. Rick G.

You did miss the Fliptail on the top, but you got more than I figured out.

The other stuff is alot of Haddock. Also some Butler worms and those classic Shannon Twin-spins. All that stuff is vintage 69'-85' So Cal Bass killers. Bet those twin-spins would still work at Cachuma. Thats a great selection of what really won most tournaments in those days. Thanks Terry. Rick G.

Could be, but I have alot of the same twin spin hardware and heads. I remember my father casting the heads and bending alot of hardware. I have boxes of ball bearing swivels, heads, molds, skirts,different blades, wire, and special wire bending pliers. We used to fish them at Casitas, Piru, Cachuma, and San antonio and caught alot of fish with them in the 70's out of his 15.5' Astroglass.

Would be the bomb this weekend... This week I go up to my 1oz. and bigger stuff. I have homemade stuff like that and they get used 6 weeks a year and are starting to get thinned out by attrition. All my worms have been just collecting dust I just don't find the time most trips
