O.H. Ivie serves up another big, beautiful bass, this time for angler Kasey Swan of Jacksboro! ShareLunker 640 weighed in at 13.06 pounds. This is the 8th Legacy Class ShareLunker thus far in the 2023 season.
Unfortunately, SL640 experienced extreme barotrauma. In the best interest of the fish’s health, we elected to provide the best treatment possible for her onsite and then Mr. Swan returned her to O.H. Ivie. While it is unfortunate that she will not have the opportunity to spawn with the male offspring of a previous ShareLunker at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, your TPWD biologists were able to collect catch and genetic information on her, which will serve future fish management efforts. Because of Kasey’s willingness to donate and coordinate with TPWD to provide this valuable data he will receive all prizes and accolades associated with the Legacy Class, including a high-quality replica mount of his Lunker from Lake Fork Taxidermy.
