problem with reels...

Post by g-man »

I have a scorpion, and a chronarch that are spinning backwards? I lost a fish in a tourney cause of this problem! I can't figure it out! It doesn't happen all the time, but I will not use them again till I figure it out! HELP?

It spins in the opposite direction once in a while, its not a full turn, but just enough to cause problems.

The anti reverse bearing is slipping. It could be due to over lubrication or possibly the bearings are just starting to go bad.

You can use lighter fluid or even something like Simple Green.
