prop pitch for colorado

Post by G3 »

Hello everybody,

Just retired rom the Air Force and am new to the Colorado area. I have a 21ft. Triton Bass boat. Currently running a Tempest plus 26p on my Optimax 225. Took my boat out for the first time and had a hard time getting on plane. I came from sea level in Maryland now I am at about 4000 ft. I was told I needed to change the pitch on my prop. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Use to run my boat up tahoe during the summer. Down here in the delta was running a 25 pitch and had to go down to a 21 due to the higher elavation. Boat couldn't get on plane til change prop. You might not have to go that low. Best bet is check with other boaters up that area.

Look up guys in the Centennial Bass club out of Ft. Collins, they should be able to help you out.
