For fires large and small, Lake Pillsbury serves as a vital water source– helping supress small fires before they scale and combat large ones including the August (2020) and Mendocino (2018) Complex Fires.
Loss of Lake Pillsbury, as part of PG&E’s proposal, could hinder firefighting capabilities in a region prone to wildfires.
