More than 100 miles of the canals and pipelines that will be connected Sites Reservoir are existing facilities, reducing both environmental impacts and construction demands.

Sites Reservoir is a proposed 1.5 million acre-foot offstream reservoir in Northern California that will increase the state’s water storage capacity, improve water supply reliability, and enhance ecosystem benefits. Located in the Sacramento Valley west of the town of Maxwell, the reservoir is designed to store water diverted from the Sacramento River during high-flow periods for use in dry years. Led by the Sites Project Authority, Reclamation is a federal partner working with the Authority and other local and state stakeholders to advance the project.

Maybe they can connect the bullet train to it. This lake is a scam just like the train. Paid for by tax payers while a handful of people get rich. This will not solve a drop of the states water problems but will probably make it worse. The mentality of the people that will have control the water will be to sell to the highest bidder and that will be farms. Big Ag is going to add tens of thousands of new farm acreage to the state that will depend on this water. During drought years they will have to source water from our current lakes lowering them even further. We will end up with higher water bills and water rationing while crap land in the middle of nowhere is lush and green with crops that will get exported out of the country.
Probably won't even be recreation allowed due to the mussel hoax.
