Reaction Innovations Screwed Up Jig Head
Reaction Innovations Screwed Up Jig Head
Although the hook up percentage is great I had two fish throw the spring off these heads when fishing yesterday. I've had a hard time finding a similar model that I liked, are the Picasso jig heads any better? I'm not to fond of the spot sticker or any jig head that has a flat side.

I use Tourney Jigs and Zippers. I use mainly the Zippers cause some times its hard for me to screw the worms on.You can order them at Oroville bait and Tackle.
Re: Reaction Innovations Screwed Up Jig Head
I had the same problem with the Reaction Inovations jig head, I won't waste my money on them any more. At least they got the name right with "screwed up"
The Picasso head has worked much better for me.

Jrock....
I have found that the spring is definitely the weak point of that RI shakeyhead jig.... but the hook is great, there is no doubt it catches fish.....I have tried a few, including the Picasso, LC, and Spot Remover version, but always go back to RI's.... Picasso's spring is way to tight and narrow, worm comes right off.... I myself have just given in to the fact that I will have to go through the heads quickly due to the spring, to me it's worth it knowing that the hook is so good....I am sure others will give their .02 to, maybe someone knows of another I havent tried that is better than all the above...
BTW..... anyone want to buy some Picasso and LC shakeyheads....
.... I have quite a few...

Re: Reaction Innovations Screwed Up Jig Head
Gambler giggy heads, round head, post type keeper,(no spring) 4/0 & 5/0 hooks. They work really well.

When I lose the spring on the RI head I simply glue the worm to the head with soft-bait glue. That usually gets me a lot more usage out of each one.
I like the RI head for 2 reasons; the hook is stout and it comes in a 3/8 oz size which I like a lot at Clear Lake.
