Throw the Iron mike!
Or you can do the westlake special and cut a hot dog into the shape of a worm and shot it! both work well.
Kidding aside i have no idea.

Mike
three weeks ago santa margarita it was buzz baits, jigs early, we had frog action in prefish and split shoting a Zoom old monster on the main lake and the hud was getting em. it looked like the last wave was finshing thier bedding so the bite shold be getting stronger
in the river throw topwater early and dont be afraid to hit the very center where the grass has grown up in around 7 foot of water , i lost two fish over 7 in pre fish in the river one on a spook(early) and the other flippin (420 beavers) wood laydowns in the afternoon, come tournament time we get one 3 pounder go figure but we missed five or six frog fish (just not sucking it in far enough)
Have fun and let us know how you did

Both lakes have been good, although I havent fished Margarita. I have heard that Margrita bite is good on drop shot. Lopez was really good last weekend. Two day tournament was won with 41lbs. The crank bite was really good, shad color. I caught fish on cranks, senkos and flipping beavers for 32 lbs for two days. Big fish was 7. Hope this helps.
