Sea lions flipping around giant bass in ca delta.

I was out earlier today noticed big mature sealions around 5 or 6 of them in central delta,and boy just about half of them had a giant largemouth bass ive never seen nothing like this usally i see them with carp but theese were big bass very sad to see.

Unfortunately no...

I saw the same thing recently. Last year I found the remains of what would have been a solid 10. Its truly unfortunate how the D is taking such a decline between the spraying/pellets & sea lions. It's still an amazing fishery but a shell of itself.

I was out today. Launched from Orwood and went further south (BTW water was fairly clear, but fish had lockjaw). Saw 2 seals. I was shocked they were that far into the Delta system.

They are much farther south than that.

I see them in the Empire Cut/Whiskey Slough/Tiki Lagun areas quite often and have twice seen them playing with their food, 5 pound carp. However, I have no doubt they are also eating big bass.

I saw a sea lion inside Mildred yesterday the bite on the Delta is still nil for me

On a happier note, a pair of young sea lions in Franks showed me a hump I didn't know was there, when I motored over to "discourage" them.
