Gonna try minnows at ClearLake for the first time, what type of Eq do you guys recommend. Baitcast or spinning? line size? hook? Thanks ahead of time for the help!

clearlake temps

Hello all,

Hey i'm heading to Clearlake on Feb 24th. We're coming all the way from North Eastern Nevada to fish the "Bass capital of the West". Does anyone have the current water temp and conditions?
Is the rip bite on yet? Any info you have would be greatly appreciated!

Griz 01, whats the reason for the upgrade, If the BPS are catching fish then why switch.......just my .02 worth. "If its not broke, don't fix it" I have a hard time with spending the moola for a loomis when my bps are working. Is there that much of a difference? what about some of the Lure...

yeah its got surge brakes....the explorer has a tow rating of 3500lbs.

Do you guys think i will have any problems towing an 18'9" stratos with my V-6 ford explorer? also do you guys have any idea on weight of boat and trailer. The boats got a 200hp motor if that helps figuring weight.........
