for instance, COLORADO RIVER: you can use live shiners, gold fish, or even blue gills.

S.D.COUNTY: you can buy live shiners.

the shads are caught with mesh net.

i was using the wrong type of net and couldnt get any shads.lol

WE finally arrived at the lake, for the first time. we motored the rental towards the spillway, and spotted boils inside the coves. we u turned the boat and throttled in with 4in hudds ( shad ) and got slammed. it was a school of l.m.b............lol went on to the next cove and IT JUST BROKE LOOSE....
