Guides to smaller lakes in the east bay
Hello, born and raised in the east bay and now live in the North East. Will be out in the east bay for business and visiting family in a few weeks and would like to fish one of the smaller lakes. Anyone know of any guides for Del Valle, Chabot, Shadow Cliffs etc…? Thanks all.

What kind of line would you use in gin clear water?
Going for LMB, SMB, and the lady will go for trout. I generally fish stained water so going gin clear is a bit different for me. What do you recomend?

Re: Buying reels off of e-bay
Thanks for all of your advice. tdnconsultand( 2271) is no longer listed on e-bay!
I think I am going to go for it, saving 60 bucks on a new bait caster sounds good to me.

Fish pathology - sores on smallmouths
I went fishing up near Lake Tulloch over the weekend and noticed that a few of the smallmouths I landed had some strange sores. If anyone is knowledgeable about this kind of stuff PM me and I will send you the photos.

Landed this girl on a senko on a private lake/pond in the East Bay area. What's her weight?
Let her go, I always catch and release.
