Re: How to avoid snags on Delta?
With plastics, use less weight, and move your lure a little faster. Keep it bumping the bottom but don't give it a chance to settle down into the crevices in the rocks. Same goes for weightless Senkos. With Speed Traps and Bombers, if you let off pressure when you bump something, sometimes they will...

Re: Know any shore/bank spots in the Bay Area?
West Lower Jones Rd. is the one I am talking about. For colors, I use black/blue during night and at dawn and dusk. Green pumpkin and watermelon red are the colors I try during the day. On still sunny days I have alot of confidence in the four inch watermelon red Yum Dingers. They are senko copies t...

Re: Know any shore/bank spots in the Bay Area?
When I was in your shoes my favorite place was whiskey slough. The first 200 feet past the whiskey slough marina launch is posted no fishing, but the rest of whiskey and then empire cut has lots of spots to pull over and fish. There are largemouth right up on the bank, especially on high tides. Its ...

Re: Delta Info (Lunch on the Water?)
The Rusty Porthole is where I go with my parents, wife and 5 year old. We do the boat tour first, then the shady restaurant is a pleasant escape from the delta sun. You can feed the carp from the deck with french fries or fish food from a machine. The guest dock is not very stable. And my mom requir...

Re: Buying used motor from out of state.
Thanks. Using a shop to check it out is a great idea. That will make me feel much better about the whole process.

Buying used motor from out of state.
I am looking for a used motor and considering some from out of state. Do I need to worry
about the emissions rating? Is there a title I need to deal with in California? Also, anyone have
any ideas about the safest way to pay for such a transaction?
Thanks in advance, Chris

Duck blind etiquette
I have been avoiding fishing my favorite duck blind since duck season started. I figure there might be a couple hunters inside, but I noticed another boat fishing blinds. Is there someway to tell if there is anyone home? I almost always catch keepers off one particular blind and I saw what might be ...

Re: why not tungsten miller p weights
If they were under $20 a piece, I'd buy them. And I could live with an insert, no problem.

What papers should I have on boat?
I noticed in the zero tolerance thread people mentioned sheriffs checking boaters' paperwork. I am a new owner of an old bass boat and I was not aware I needed to carry any papers. Do I? Thanks.
