Re: ABA Piru nights...Lights out!!!
Hey guys- You are a100 percent right! Bill is not only fishing against a field of weekend anglers, but in that mix are some of So. Cal's top Pros. Joe Uribe Jr. has had a phenomenal career at a young age. Congratulations to him on multiple AOY/team/pro events including FLW/US open/Lucas Oil finishes...

Re: ABA Piru nights...Lights out!!!
Is this against the best of the best or of a region? Just asking, because I thought I was pretty good until I fished an unknown body of water to me where I felt completely lost and saw anglers who were not from the area do pretty well. This put things back into perspective for me and made me realiz...

ABA Piru nights...Lights out!!!
September 15, 2012 at Lake Piru ABA night tournament brings yet another chance to beat world class hall of fame angler, William “Bill” Siemantel and his not so new to bass fishing, accomplished team partner and angler Mike Jones. Not only is Jones an acknowledged writer from Bass Master magazine, an...

Re: A fly on the wall... in the boat of the rising son!!
Hey Derik, you’re a force to be reckoned with. I read into the hype of one major writer, and the media hype, on baits that could potentially win the US Open. When the smoke cleared on day two; you were still in the mix. Bring home the honor to the Family name, the only father/son to win the most pre...

A fly on the wall... in the boat of the rising son!!
Riddle me this? In one of the most prestigious tournaments in the west coast,THE US OPEN, what would happen if…two major bait manufactures happen to draw one another in a pro/co situation, would the AAA go with the flow, and honor his pro’s best interest?....In the age old question…..what was first ...

Re: Where is the US in the US Open?
Dear John and Bob, With all due respect, as a loyal follower of the upper echelon of bass fishing, I do apologize in advance to Western Bass.com and Won Bass, but there are limited national events in our area. I feel an important question has been side stepped. How many world class/ Top Pros are alr...

Re: What bait is going to win the U.S. open this year?
Kramer has fished Mead longer than most of the other Pros around, and may even have taught a few how to catch them….flat out knows the water and knows the baits. Don’t know for sure if Mr. BBZ is going to fish the Open. I hope so; it will open some eyes when he picks up his check! Go team Hall of Fa...

Re: What bait is going to win the U.S. open this year?
It is not a question about what bait might, but what bait will. Go back a few short weeks ago to the Lucas oil/ABA open event. What did the winner use then, to walk away with the $40,000 first place? What about the bait that caught the big fish and won the Ranger Bass Boat. Great starting baits! Loo...

Re: Siemantel walks away with the money!!!
A quote regarding an athlete participating in the Olympics… “Painting Jones as a shameless self-promoter is as unfair as portraying her as a passive victim of a crass sports economy. In the end she’s just another participant in a distinctively strange quadrennial phenomenon. If there's anything sad ...

Re: Siemantel walks away with the money!!!
“Seriously, if Bill were cheating, for as long as he's been fishing, he would have been caught by now. I know he volunteered to take a polygraph after the whole Mike Hart incident, to clear up any lingering questions. I'm guessing he just knows what he's doing when it comes to fishing for bass. “ Ma...

Re: Siemantel walks away with the money!!!
Bill does not have to break any rules to win. I have seen him fish on videos and on TV-he is a pro.
Just keeping it in the BBZ.

Siemantel walks away with the money!!!
Congratulations to Bill, who pulled off a huge win Saturday night at the “ABA” Piru night team event. He not only thought outside the box, and fished the Marina docks; he won nearly $3600.00 and big bass of the event, by beating almost 40 teams by 2 pounds single handily. This is why he is a true pr...
