Sunken bogs?
Just wondering about these heard they are good when you can find them. Was just wanting to know a little more about them. Situation I am kind of looking at is a large bay filled with weeds about 6 to 8 foot all the way across this massive bay. I happened upon a sunk peat bog it's old, no vegetation ...

Re: Researching Fishing Rods
I am a Loomis fan, I am not sold on technique specific rods at all, that being said I like my GLX 855 JWR for open and medium heavy cover. It is an extra fast taper so the tip is light enough to skip and make precise casting, super light, the rod shuts down and goes straight to meat, after about 8 i...

Re: Pouring Your Own Jigs and Plastics
I don't pour them, it's a boss head, I quit pouring weedless versions of jigs it was a pain and time consuming, I only pour my open jig heads now, plus that boss heads in my opinion is one of the best to come through brush and weeds.

http://i61.tinypic.com/mww6xh.jpg http://i61.tinypic.com/34zdfv6.jpg I made these up last week, I like to use rabbit hair in the winter for smallmouth, I use the fly above the football head in tandem. http://i62.tinypic.com/21kbhqc.jpg I also like to fuse my own hula grubs and fuse skirts to other ...

Re: Reel Stickers to Identify the Line Size
I use the blue painters tape so that it will come off when I want it too, and I use a small sharpie pen. I cut the tape small enough to hide under the gear housing on most reels. Usually a number for test and F for flouro m for mono. Whichever. It works great.

Lake Sammamish Bite and Weather Back to Reality
After the great bite on Lake Washington, I moved east down Interstate 90 a couple miles to Lake Sammamish. This lake like Lake Washington is alive with smallmouth. Usually on either of these lakes a decent day is 5 to 6 fish per boat anything over this is good and anything over 10 fish is stellar. O...

Hey Marc, I don't know, you are in the land of big fish now! The winter fishing has been great this year for numbers just haven't seen the big fish in years past, had a day on Sammamish where Johnny and I caught over 20 smallmouth all on the tandem rig! That's an epic day up here as you know!

Lake Washington winter bite on!
The winter fishing up here in the Pacific Northwest is known to be super tough and not many bites to be had, but right before the big hawks game the lake was on fire in sight of the Hawks Renton practice facilities. Being from the Northwest I joke sometimes we are born with webbed feet, rain gear is...
