Re: Trailer bolt failure
The Ranger supplied bolts are grade 8. That's the strongest I know of. The shoulder bolts are 5/8ths all the way past the bottom plate on the tongue. The threaded bolts are 5/8ths at the outside of the thread but smaller on the inside. I still can't believe Rangers attitude on the matter.

Re: Trailer bolt failure
I had the same problem. I contacted Ranger about it and they said the problem is rare, but the dealer had replacements, hmmmm. This is what you need right here. http://www.boltdepot.com/dimension.aspx?cc=67&cs=244&cm=25 . 6 inch 5/8. The threaded bolts will keep breaking because there is a sh...

Losing Temp
I have two LCX 28 Hd's linked with NMEA and ethernet connections. Every afternoon I lose my temp reading. When I go to the overlay menu the NMEA choice is gone. After the units are off for a while the choice comes back. What's going on here?
Thanks in advance, Howard

Here is a permanent solution for those clips that keep breaking. I'm not sponsored, just posting a good product I've found. The guy who makes them is Randy Flowers. Re: Thank you Capitol City Marine
I have been shopping for a new boat (Ranger) for some time and in my quest for the "Ultimate Deal" I spoke to many dealers, not all of which were in California by the way! Although I found the deal I was looking for, (Divorce Sale) and ultimately did not but from Capital City Marine, Mike...

Re: A** Clowns
I've been boating on the delta since the 60's and the two closest calls I've had were in the last year and both were bass boats. I see people cutting the corners wide open all the time. Makes me want to by P.T. boat.

Launched out of Holland yesterday at daybreak . The first three bass boats I saw went around the bend wide open 10' off the oncoming bank. The fourth one passed me on the right and I was about 40' off the bank. I guess if you're in a tourny you don't have to give a **** about anyone else in the worl...
