Do you guys know when the other resorts are going to open under the new ownership (ie Berryessa Marina, Knoxville, Putah)? Hopefully by summer at least!
Thanks!

Capell Cove/Lake Berryessa Launch Boat Launch hours?
The BLM site only shows 7am to dusk hours for the two day use locations...does anyone know what the hours for the Capell Cove ramp are on weekdays?

Smallie fishing on the Umpqua?
Hey fellas, I'm heading up to spend time with and buddy and his pops in their ranch outside of Roseburg Oregon and plan on hitting the Umpqua for smallies in my yak. I'm pretty set up with what to use, but I was wondering if anyone knew which fork the smallies are in(North or South) and what some of...

Re: Handheld GPS help
thanks fellas! You guys saved me from a lot of frustration and spending more than I needed! As for the Navionics map, is the one you guys use a California map, or is it specific to each lake and or waterway? I'm hoping to get one that covers all of CA, but mainly bay area water and norcal water, del...

Handheld GPS help
Hey fellas, I fish out of a small aluminum and want to pick up a handheld GPS for a couple things and need some advice. I want one mainly to start marking my favorite spots on lakes I fish, and to find waypoints on Fish n Maps. Also, I'm gonna start treading lightly into select spots on the delta an...

Re: Night Fishing and Moon phases
thanks for the encouraging report, that a good sack of fish!Unfortunately, I'm fishing a "customized" 12' aluminum, so the Delta is out of my league! Putah will also be out of reach, but there's some big main lake points and islands near Monticello that fish well by day, so I'm hoping migh...

Re: Night Fishing and Moon phases
Don and Steve- thanks for insight on the moon phases, I've only been out in lower moons and just fished plastics...the last time the moon set around midnight and it was pitch black, couldn't see a dam thing but jumping line! I was almost thinking about waiting till next good moon phase , but it's fi...

Night Fishing and Moon phases
Hey fellas, I know this topic has been discussed several times on the board, but what's the consensus on moon phases and night fishing? I'm finally getting my boat and gear together to night fish this weekend at Berryessa and didn't realize it's almost a full moon that's gonna be up almost the whole...

Re: Best Directions from Auburn to Lake Almanor
Thanks a bunch fellas, this should do the trick for my buddy! I'm heading up from the bay area and usually just go all the way up to Red Bluff and go across 36...should I also head to Chico then take 32 also? It sounds like it's ok pulling a boat, is it faster?

Best Directions from Auburn to Lake Almanor
I'm having a buddy from Auburn meet me at Almanor we're wondering if anyone knew of the "best" way to get there. "best" meaning fastest, it's a girlfriend weekend for both of us, so I want him to start off on the right foot and not ending up going the direct route...over an 8000'...

Re: trinity lake campgrounds
Wyntoon is now a KOA, the former owners mentioned are gone, the new owners are a lot nicer, but still a little questionable. There were a few "sketchy" members on their staff, which raised concern when I heard that a new boat was stolen from the slip(gated at night) last July. The campsite...

Fishing the Delta from a 12' Valco
I've been anxious to start fishing the Delta, but only have a 12' bass converted Valco w/ a 15hp motor. I'm a decent stick on lakes, have fished with friends and guides on the delta, but I'm itching to spend more time there, especially in summer. I was wondering if anyone could point out a place I c...

Anyone fish Smallies on Lake Britton?
I'm gonna break out the long rod for a change of pace and soak some fake bugs on the Pit River, but will be camping on Lake Britton. I've read that there's a decent smallie population and was wondering if it's worthwhile bringing my yak and a few sticks to chase smallies in case I get bored on the r...

Pardee Conditions
Hey fellas, with all this rain and tourneys on the calendar my buddy and I were thinking about making the drive to Pardee or Camanche. I'm not asking for anyone's secret honey hole or what's been working, but just wondering what the general conditions are like...water clarity, temp, and if it's fish...

Re: Thinking about guiding...
Ryan- Get your license and you'll have your first client right here! I fished Almanor last year for smallies for the first time and it's amazing. It looks like you also know the trout gig, and I would be very interested in a cross-over trip smallies and trout! If you wanted to do a "trial"...

Hey Mark thanks again for the insight. I'm heading up tomorrow till Tuesday morning, so I'll finally have to see what's working and maybe establish a pattern! I'll post the results for sure and I'm hoping it's about a hot rip bite!

Thanks for the heads up on the 24hour launch, it doesn't seem too far away from where I'm staying on the eastside either! Also thanks for the advice on the Staysee Mark, I keep thinking craw cranks, but I'll be sure to have the Ghost Minnow tied on at least one rod at all times!

Lake Almanor questions?
I'm taking my first multi day trip to Almanor and absolutely can't wait! I know it's not the ideal time for the smallies, but I wanted to check out the Hex hatch and also do some night fishing. My main question is does anyone know if there's a public ramp or ramps in the south that are open all nigh...
