Very cool story. As has been said, it's unusual for a Falcon to eat much of anything that isn't Avian. They prefer other birds so this was one aggressive Falcon. Cool that you left all the feathers on it though.

All you need to do is control your retrieve to the proper speed when fishing. They are absolutely the $hit for controlling the fish. I won't fish without them.

Mike, If you are only getting 4000 RPM out of your motor at full trim (PROVIDED THE TACH IS SET PROPERLY) you are too deep. That is, the jack plate needs to come up. A Yamaha should turn more than 5000 RPM if set and running properly. I don't own one as I have always been a Merc guy but I know sever...
