Re: Humminbird question
I would recommend to have the GPS puck as close to the transducer as possible. Otherwise your waypoints will be off up to 25-30 feet.
There are also possibilities to mount the transducer without drilling holes into the boat (f ex mount it to a ram mount).

Terrible start into the week
Woke up from a dream where I was showing up at the ramp at 7am for the WON Open and didn't even have my gear with me.
Feel better now that I realised it's only Monday and you can be sure I'll be ready early on Wednesday (including gear )
Happy Monday and tight lines,

I also don't see a problem with what you did. You didn't try to talk him out of a guided trip or bash the guide. You just offered to help him out and get him on the water.
Thumbs up from me.

Re: Clearlake Chamber tournament( Holder Ford)
I have no doubt that 30 and maybe 40 pound bags are going to be caught but I'm not sure why we have to schedule the probably 2 biggest multi day tournaments within a week and have 100+ boats fish competitively 5 out of 7 days! So you can bet that the overall numbers will suffer. Also for some angler...

I was in 2ft of water a couple of time and had the talons deploy all the way down to 8ft in the delta muck. The only time they don't come back up is if the current/wind puts pressure on them -> step a little on the trolling motor and up the come. If that wouldn't work or you half an electrical probl...

I know they have a new 8ft version coming out that is a 3 stage and therefor very compact. But you can always use the tilt brackets to lay them down without any problems. And from the minn kota website: What is the overall length of Talon shallow water anchor when stowed? 6' Talon is 45" 8' Tal...

I have talons so here we go: All electric, which makes for easy installation (did mine all by myself) and with the quick disconnect it takes about 2 minutes to take them off or put them back on. You can get the tilt brackets if you need clearance to get under obstructions. Never had a problem with t...

For mine to not burp back on me, I don't push the rubber all the way over the opening so it allows a little more airflow and I pull the trigger about half way. Hope this makes sense. works for me.

Go to bassmaster.com and than to the Sacramento event. Click on basstrakk and it will show you the current weights (entered by the Marshall) and on Sunday it will also show you the location where the top 12 are fishing (not sure if this info is available on the previous days)
