It's hard to beat Walton's Pond in San Leandro. Jon carries most of the latest stuff and can get almost anything. The customer service can't be beat.

If you have charged the two batteries in the low water condition, you have partially fried the part of the plates that are out of the water. You need to replace them. Have you looked at or checked out the Olympus 770? It's completely waterproof and you can even take in down to 33 feet. This would allow you to get some underwater shots.

The BOGA grip is the original and the best. They will set you back over $100, though. If you want something just for your son to use, try the Econo Lipper from Bass Pro Shops. It's under $20 and does the job.
