Seems like Tuesday night might be a little uncomfortable.

Post by Brian Linehan »

Apparently, rumor has it that the McCain campaign is going to shift into high gear on Tuesday night. McCain has not attacked Obama about his relationships with Reverend Wright, Flager, and Bill Ayers on a national level yet and I guess that's the gameplan. He'll have to work it somehow into the topic I guess.

How do you defend these relationships?

I don't know if MCain wants to open that door, cause there are plenty of ghosts in his closet as well, all the way to Keating.

It is about time the gloves were taken off by the McCain campaign – UFC of Politics. You Democrats just don’t understand how manipulated this campaign has been by the main media. Now they have to cover all of the controversial issues on the Obama crusade to move America to Marxists (Socialism for you of “Weak Hartsâ€

Radicals didn't run up the deficit. Maybe the list of radicals are getting longer. Besides WTF is a radical. I was called a member of a radical group when I was part of a group the blocked the streets with wheelchairs to gain better accessibility. We were really dangerous radicals huh? Define radical.

Sounds all too desperate to me. UFC politics, I like that. McCain will fail with line of attack, right now I want to know what he'll do for the economy, not some b.s. about Obama. It seems the last 8 years with the GOP has been about scare tactics, and this is just more of the same. Obama hangs around terrorists, it must have rubbed off on him. It used to be a man could be measured on his own record, not those of the people he may have bumped into along the way. Columbia Graduate, Harvard Law Grad, passed bar, civil rights attorney, Community Activist, Law School Proffessor, Illinois State Senator, US Senator, these are great accomplishments yet most get stuck on stupid over some perceived back room terrorism sessions between him and Acorn that never actually happened. Seems this is guilty by asscociation-if in fact there ever was a true asscociation between the two.

desperation-to make extreme changes in existing views, habits, conditions, or institutions – relating to or a political group associated with views, practices, and policies of extreme change.

Fish, We agree, I dont want to reulate what 2 people do in their bedroom either, But lets not stop at gay rights, There is Man/boy, teacher/student, man/ goat. If we're not going to have laws, lets not have laws.

Or is there a line that you want to stop at? I would love to have you tell me where your stopping points are. [ or any other posters]
What would you regulate and how .
Are you for or against the death penalty?
Where do you draw the line on sex, property rights, gay rights[covered under sex],crime, gun control, abortion[ I have a teenager thats bugging me can we get that covered under abortion[shes only been here 16 years]
I would love for you to give me a feel for who you are. What you're feelings are about life. Maybe it would give me some insite into the real Fish

A question: McCain sent Birthday greeting to "Joe Bananas"
Joseph Bonanno in 1995, he regretted he was not able to attend the "syndicate boss's" 90th birthday. Does this mean that McCain has had direct ties to organized crime? Why else would someone send a birthday wish, unless they knew the person fairly well?

I'm sorry if you can't see the difference between 2 grown adults and a pedophile but I can and won't even stoop to that level to answer. But I will answer these questions.

Abortion? I'm all for it up to a certain point, I don't know enough about it to say what that point is but maybe after 4 months or so only if the womans life is in danger.

Gun control? I am all for the the free ownership of guns unless your a convicted felon or have phyciatric issues but you still have to register the hand guns. Automatic weapons, not without a permit or license.

Gay rights? If you don't want them to be married then that is fine but you have to let them have a civil union with ALL the same benifits as a marriage including taxes, insurance, visiting rights.

Death penalty? FRY EM :D

Illegal immagration? Build the wall, ship out any criminals ( I mean the ones that get into trouble with the police) that are not legal aliens and once the wall is built and we stop the flood then address the ones that are in this country. Give them 5 years or so with no criminal records with proof they are paying taxes and living legal and then maybe offer them amnesty.

Taxes? This is one of my biggest pet peeves. That is fine if you cut taxes and live within tha budget but why would you cut taxes and then borrow money to run the government. The stupid saying that the govt needs to be more efficient does not work, you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip. I don't want to pass my tax burden on to my grandkids (if I ever have them) do you?

It's Tuesday! After this last weekend and Mondays mudslinging, tonight will be interesting. McCain will lose his temper tonight, any bettors? To my eyes McCain is starting to look like an angry old man. Obama just keeps shoving the economy in his face, McCain keeps trying to change the subject. Will Ayers or Keating come up first?

I hope they both come out swinging hard, it'll give us all a good look at how they stay composed, or not. I think McCain will tumble over like Kimbo Slice over the next few weeks, this is a lot of pressure for an old fart like him.

Funny how we all say we are tired of negative campaigning yet most of us react to it and buy into it when it happens. The "Obama pals around with terrorists" is negative campaigning at its most blatant. It is also meaningless and a waste of time when we could actually be trying to come up with something useful or positive. The "Keating 5" story, while true, is also a waste of our time. We have 30 days or thereabouts to go and it sure would be nice if one or both of these guys could try to be honest and inspiring in a tough time for most of us. Unfortunately this negative stuff apparently works because the less intelligent people, which happens to be most Americans, buy into it.

Dan, 5 minutes until kick-off, I'll take the bet. I think McCain will maintain his composure and I think he will not launch into any negative attacks regarding Obama's questionable friends... unless Obama launches the first attack, then its GAME-ON!

well from my seat it looked like McCain kept his contempt to a low boil. He came accross flat and really unimpressive, Obama was just a slight bit less unimpressive. Interesting that McCain didn't raise Ayers name, guess his own ghosts kept his mouth shut. I hand it to Obama again.

From tonights debate You can really tell that mccains testosterone levels are really low...I mean he won't even make eye contact with obama. I think it's obvious that mccain is a little past his prime.......
