The #LavaFire near Mt. Shasta and the #SaltFire just north of Lake Shasta continue to spread, causing intermittent closures on I-5. These closures are causing extensive delays as traffic is being rerouted to Hwy 89, becoming the only detour for north and southbound traffic on I-5. The wildfires are also causing poor air quality in nearby parks including Shasta State Historic Park and Weaverville Joss House State Historic Park. Be sure to plan ahead and visit us on another day.
