oppps my bad, the spirex has the gophy quick cast lever.

I did buy a few, the handel dose a 180 on hook sets, tried modifying them, now there in a junk pile of reels.

any other front drag, 1000 size shimanos for under a hundred, Ill take um

If you still have your receipts for the older model spirex, send it in with a repair order that you will have to download from Shimano.
They will upgrade for free. If you don't have the receipts, they will upgrade to the newer model for $20.

So what your saying is I can just return all my old SPIREX 1000's and for $20 each Shimano will send me new ones ?

WOW!!!! I have boxs full of first generation Spirex 1000's!
