Shooting lessons

I know alot of you guys are big hunters. My son who is 12 is very interested in shooting. He has done merit badges with boy scouts and loves the shotguns and would like to get into handguns. I have shot a few times with some buddies in a field blasting beer cans.

but would like him (and myself) some real training. Any recommendations for ranges and shooting lessons. We live in San Ramon.

contact either Livermore or Chabot gun clubs, both offer various courses on handguns, rifles and shotguns. you guys will have a blast.
