Cool - good luck with it. And you may want to contact sTony or DAN regarding sponsorship opportunities here on Western Bass... you can advertise your wares as a paid advertiser.

Best of luck to you!

we are pretty lucky that every tom, dick, and harry isn't spamming the site everyday. you can see his site address on his profile though...not sure why so many positive comments in the begining.. seems like a short lipless crank with a paint job that might catch a fishermen. maybe its a good lure..who knows.

You guys crack me up. I took one look at the website and the "photo's" section and though it was a front for an escort service. This doesn't look like a legit company so I wouldn't worry about getting the rights to any of these lures. If anything these are just something that was manufactured overseas and trying to sell here as an OEM.

definately. these are definately made in china and he probably bought them for 25 cents each. the crankbait and the lipless look completely diffrent. i dont know about you guys but legit companys usually make there look the same no matter what type of bait.

That is not the only thing that sounds sketchy... His extensive research/ bragging right is limited to "works just fine... on the smaller rock bass." Who knows, if you want to catch small rock bass, this might be the lure for you...

Good luck to him, though. That is great that is he is trying to start his own brand of lures. It's something that I am sure a lot of us wish we could do.

Give me a freakin break. I put the girls on the site because I thought fishermen would have a sense of humor. I guess I was wrong based on all the hooker/massage parlor feedback I am getting. I guess you guys would rather look at other guys..HMMM
Maybe I should have made the lures pink. Oh yeah the colors, they may be a little loud but does it really matter to a color blind fish??? Sorry for the rant but I had to get that off my chest.

If you are not going to buy a Chinese made lure you better dump your tackle box. Many 15 dollar lures are made overseas. I am not backing this guy. He needs to take his spam and go away. Inaccurate comments are just going to keep him coming back to defend. BTW to kill another comment he never said Lake Placid is in California. He only said he fished Placid. Maybe he should pester some New York Rock bass forum. No chance I will even look at a spammer's product. Let alone buy.

Giarah,

We do have a sense of humor that's why I was joking. They were just goofing off my post. If you are serious about selling a new product in the fishing world you'll have to realize that first impressions are everything. I would even go so far as to suggest a different approach and start a discussion as to finding some local anglers for their feedback. That way you avoid the jokesters like myself who come up with funny comments not because they dislike your product, rather to make others laugh.

I'm willing to bet that there are plenty of people on here to give you feedback as to what products work for the bass fishing community. The hard part is taking that feedback with a grain of salt & not taking it personal.

Good luck with your venture. Hopefully someday we'll see a fresh water bass specific version of your lures as the winning bait for a fishing tournament.

BTW color does matter not only to catch the fish but to catch the fisherman who may or may not buy the lure. Go to any tackle store and ask the what are the top 10 colors that bass fisherman purchase. If you don't have at least 5 of those colors in your product line up you're not going to be catching very many fishermen.

..........................

Giarah,

We do have quite a sense of humor; you seem to be lacking one, in my opinion. You are taking comments made on a fishing based forum WAY TO PERSONALLY. On internet forums, you better EXPECT to have a sense of humor, and expect to take ribbings about ANYTHING at times.
I am an administrator on one fishing website, a moderator on two other fishing sites, and active on about ten fishing sites
If you load up a fishing site with pictures of women, expect it will get some ribbing, simple as that.

My honest advice, pull the pictures; there is nothing to be gained by having them there.

Secondly, I see NO PRICING to actually buy the lures you are offering.

I have been bass fishing for nearly fifty years, and the way you are going about marketing this is all wrong, in my opinion again.

I rep for several tackle companies, and there is even an artificial frog named after me that is sold nationwide by a WELL KNOWN tackle company, but if I was to go on a website forum that the companies I rep for ARE NOT PAYING SPONSORS, I would NOT be so bold to try to sell them there, but instead show a day's fishing report on the lures with pictures of FISH caught on them.
Generate INTEREST and DESIRE in your lures by doing so...

Until you are a 'known and respected individual" on a website, you had better expect that things you post often will be taken skeptically, and with a grain of salt, at best.

You may be best served by offering a few lures to individuals so they can truly try them and report to the masses about THEIR EXPERIENCES with them whenever bringing a new product to the market, rather than trying to market them solely by yourself.

Also, you mention they are good for Rock Bass....well, I hate to burst your bubble, but the specie Rock Bass are a small fish that many do NOT TARGET AT ALL, and many consider to be "pesty fish" or 'nuisance fish" when they are fishing for Largemouth Bass or Smallmouth Bass.

Take what I just wrote to heart.
I have fished all over the USA since 1960 with artificial lures, and have been an internet 'hanbitual user" for about ten years on fishing websites.
I live in NY, and have fished with about thirty guys from this California-based website while I visited California each year.

This site and it's membership is truly tremendous...and you just came on all wrong, in my opinion.

If you wish to discuss this, PM me directly.

At this point in the bass game there is quality product on the market fr about 6-7 bucks in a crankbait and 3-5 bucks in a ratlle type bait.

You will need to improve the of these baits to have any luck, and just my advise get better hooks on the baits for display on your website.

I do think its cool what your doing and everyone starts someplace small and works there way up..keep tyring..

good luck...

And id be ok with the girls, look at tackle tour ads its eye catching and thats marketing in the 21st century!

do what you think is right and will help market and grow your sales
after all, vixen, beavers and colors like dirty sanchez have all done great,,,,why they are memorable....

good luck
