Wednesday, only 36 hours before the Lake Shasta Bass Tournament was set to take place, the US Forest Service CANCELED it. This tournament brings roughly $500,000 to the local economy. My team and I intervened, and Friday hundreds from our district and beyond were able to take part in this great event. These tournaments are an important part of Shasta County’s economy. Our local small businesses need this support. I’ll keep working to make sure Forest Service works with the organizers to keep them going.
