stolen boats recovered on the delta

Post by Wrknap »

Chock a couple up for the good guys! There was a time I felt comfortable leaving my boat tied up in a slip overnight while staying nearby. I'll never leave my boat unattended on the delta again...

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, Calif. —
Two people were arrested after two cases of stolen vessels in San Joaquin County launched an investigation, officials said Sunday evening.
A SeaRay yacht named "Seaduction" was reported stolen from the Tiki Lagoon Marina in the delta area some time after Christmas Day, the San Joaquin Sheriff's Office said.
Deputies on Sunday stumbled upon the "Seaduction" at Disappointment Slough, north of Tiki Lagoon, as they were investigating a separate stolen vessel report, San Joaquin County Sheriff's spokesperson Andrea Lopez said. The yacht was returned to its owner.
The second vessel was also recovered Sunday after Stockton police found it while responding to a suspicious person call near Paradise Point, south of Eight Mile Road, Lopez said. Two people were arrested in connection with the vessel.
It is unclear if the two were connected to the "Seaduction" theft, Lopez said.
