Stradic CI4 drag slips

I have noticed couple times when I set the hook that the drag will start off OK then will become very loose. This is on a CI4 2500 with 6lb line. I have never had this happen with years of use with the 3 stradics and 2 symmetres (all older models) that I own.

Is this a known quirk with this reel? Is there a drag tuning tip, or other advice you can offer?

Overall very nice reel, it feels balanced, the action is smooth, and the reel is light

This is the first complaint I have heard with the drag slipping. We are using the exact same drag and spool dimensions as the FI model. I suggest sending it in so we can take a look at it. If you live close to Coyote Bait & Tackle then bring it by this Saturday. I will be there doing reel service for Shimano.
