Striper bite Oct 1

Post by Hitman »

Went out on Weds - on the water a little later than I wanted around 8:15 so I know I missed the morning topwater bite for any big ones. Tried a few areas in Franks with no luck but I did get an 8lb black on a pencil popper out in the middle weed beds. moved over into False river working my way to Big Break. Stopped at the mouth of Fisherman's cut and found active birds working the bait. Tons of schoolie size stripers gave us plenty of fun. Finaly moved on to BB to find some bigger fish. Nothing happending for me here...tide was on the outgo and almost bottomed out. Spooned some deep water heading back towards Franks but could not get anything to eat. Seemed like once the tide stopped so did the bite. No keepers yesterday but lots of action with the schoolies.

Hope to get out on an incoming to catch some giants. Hope this report helps. Keep the posts going guys!
