striper trolling
striper trolling
The bite seemed to turn on over the weekend for guys trolling bb rebels. I am still not really good at this yet but I am starting to figure it out. I started with 1oz weight to get it down and then went to 2oz and got a 9lb striper. The bbr was white with a red head. I just started to hit bottom then I got the fish. My next trip I will play with weight and line distance. The combo seemed to be 2oz at 120 feet behind the boat. The learnin is the fun part.
Re: striper trolling
Try trolling 1 oz rattle traps in craw colors. Let out enough line to stay in contact with the bottom and hold on. Make sure you change out the hooks.
