Swimbait Nation forums are deleting our postings

Post by fishermanswarehouse »

We just posted a new topic on Swimbaitnation.com this afternoon and now it's been deleted by them. What's up with that?

We just posted a topic saying that we have a bunch of swimbaits and gave the page link on the post. Is that wrong? We thought that swimbaitnation.com was a for bass fisherman who wanted to discuss and find out where to buy different swimbaits. Guess we were wrong.

You gotta remember that swimbaitnation.com is also usacproshops and basstackledepot. Would you be upset if some guy walked into your store and tried selling the same stuff as you, right in front of you? Probably.... It is a public forum, but advertising is not what they want to see. There are other ways around it though, just think outside the box....

We started Swimbaitnation to give guys a place to talk of Swimbaits and to discuss them and all the ways they are being used. We also use it as a platform to sell product, plain and simple as in offering a place to buy products but not by blasting it on the forum. No different than Westernbass or many other sites. We however do not take advertisers on the site, and take no sides on debates. If we feel something is out of hand and not for the good of the site, it will be removed. Personal attacks or post without facts and personal knowledge should be done in private between the folks involved. I think we have and continue to contribute to the sport and build awareness for swimbaits. I will continue to foot the bill for it and its growth, We are also working on a whole lot of growth and added material for that site. From conception it has been meant to be a informational site. If you want to pimp your website specials, start your own forum and blast away all you want. You pay to advertise on Westernbass and I see no problem with your sales pitches on this forum, just not in my sandbox.

That is downright hilarious.

Now that my post has been referred to I better unedit it. I said. Mark I got to know, who came up with the idea to put "CHICKS DIG THE BIG BAIT on your swimbait Nation shirts? My wife insists I wear it inside out.

I meant it as a joke, not a bad rap.

I think he just did try the "outside the box" approach by attempting to slam Swimbaitnation on this forum. Not good form, dude.

Mark,
Kudos to you for standing your ground.

Now, let's all get back to fishing.

Peace,
James

It's a commerce site. I'd expect the exact same thing to happen if you posted to Tacklewarehouse's forum! Or any other vendor's site where you're considered the competition...
