e tec and ficht controls ?

are the etec and ficht controls and cables inteerchangeable or what do u need to purchase if ypgrading to etec motor has no controls

I'm having a spankin new E-Tec 225 HO installed on my Stratos as we speak at Inland Marine. It is replacing my old Evinrude 225 Ficth and was told I could use the existing controls and Hot Foot. I have instructed them however, to install the new throttle control as the existing one is over 8 years old and I really don't want any suprised headaches to arise in the next few months.

I'd recommend to give Frank a call down at Inland tomorrow morning, 925-757-1714, as they are doing this right now.
