I have an A40 (original) 24p Tempest prop for sale.
This prop is an original A40 25 pitch that has been repitched to 24. Mark Croxton did the repitch as well as a full balance and blueprint and he installed a new hub. I've run the prop twice since I got it back from him but the boat has been parked for 2 years so its time to start offloading this stuff. This prop is perfect, better than new. Everything is sharp, polished and balanced perfectly. No dings anywhere.
If you know about these props then you know that the original A40's were the fastest spinning Tempest ever made. This prop would be great on a 18ft or smaller rig with a 150-200 Mercury and will probably get you a couple mph.
Please note: This is not a Tempest Plus. The specs are nearly identical but these props do not use the drop in Flo-torq style hubs. The hub is pressed in. The hub on this is brand new and was on a 1996 Mercury EFI 150. It should fit most standard Mercury lower units from the 80's and 90's 2.4 and 2.5 liter outboards and possibly newer models as well but not positive about that. Also, this does not use the PVS bushings like the Tempest plus although you can get plugs for them if needed. I have the torque washer and rear castle bushing to fit this prop that I will include as well.
