The Best Man Turned Out To Be A Woman

Most people have already made up their minds who they are going to vote for this November, well except Greg (he keep telling us). So with that in mind, let us discuss which candidate for President, Obama or McCain made the better VP pick that helps their campaign the most. Of course you know that I’m going to pick McCain for his nomination of Sarah Palin.

We can do this without bringing in what party is best, whose politics is the greatest, or how you lean, and however you feel about the current administration. Just make believe we are all on the board of a company and we are reviewing the decision of two employees (Obama and McCain) of the Company.

Let me start - John McCain's choice of Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska, as his running mate finally gave conservatives a reason to vote for him - a reason, that is, other than voting against Obama. Democrats claim Palin was only chosen because she's a woman and would pick up some of Hillary Clinton women supports (ok Sarah will pick up a few). I believe Palin was chosen because she's pro-life, pro-gun, pro-drilling and pro-tax cut. She's fought both Republicans and Democrats on public corruption and she's a "conservative." Don't get me wrong. Palin's beauty and tough-as-nails but if she were not demonstrably conservative, the conservatives of this country would not have been energized and would not have rally behind McCain. Her pick is also going to change some of the races for congress and may even swing it to the conservative side.

I have to agree Marty, McCains pick was brilliant. Obama should have picked Hillary (even though I hate her). Had Obama picked Clinton, I think it would be a close race. Since he picked whats-his-name (there's just nothing memorable or special about him), I think he gave up any chance of winning.

Palin was chosen for her electability. She is a true conservative. But is she really the best and most qualified person to lead this great nation if called upon.

I don't know why she would get any of Hillary's voters. She is the extreme opposite of Hillary in terms of the issues. The people that vote for Palin just because she is a woman are just like the others voting for Obama just because he is black.

Palin was the best VP choice. She has invigorated the Republican party.

You are absolutely right about that. Unfortunately, the democrat party is, generally, the party of the under-educated... and you cannot apply logic to their logic.

I remember when Bill Clinton was elected and many women admitted that they voted for him because he was the better looking candidate. The same for Barrack, if he were not black... you wouldn't even know his name right now.

McCain picking Palin was so brilliant because some of those "under-educated" Hillary voters will come over to our side just to see a woman in the white house. Very shallow, but true. If McCain had picked a BLACK WOMAN...say... Oprah. Now that would have been interesting.

What a lame site. They have to moderate how Obama is referred to, lest you fall into the traps set by the "trolls". If they werent such whinning rats, they wouldnt need such rules. Cant they take a little heat from the other side?
