The Fastest Ranger 519SVS

Post by Hollywood »

I was paired with my partner for this last weekends final event for 2006 W.B.S. Pro Circuit and we took his boat as we were making long runs of up to 30 minutes to our spot (30 min is huge here in Japan)

Now let me tell you, I don't remember my 1999 Ranger 519 with Evinrude ever going this fast. This was a 99 519svs with a 225 Yamaha and this sucker just screamed. Nothing was done to the motor but a jack plate was installed. We passed by two Brand New Trition TR-21 with 225 Yamaha and one had a new optimax.

This ole Ranger screamed by them like nothing! For the first time I was sitting by the seat of my pants in a Ranger! It felt good again!

Yea my 2000 519dvs,20'6" has a 200 Envinrude Ficht did not want a 225 thought it would give it more freeboard but just about anyone can out run me  But hey i'm into fishability not speed.

I figured those lake's over there would be to crowded to speed around much :?:

The lakes here are not as small as you would think. The lake I fish is bigger than Clear Lake and then you ad the river system into it and you can go straight to another lake that is roughly half this size so running is a big deal here as you usually make a run everyday. Fishing spots are prime here as a lot of people will hit the same starting spots so being the first there is prime. That is why you see so many dang Bullets doing 85+ on the lake until the afternoon breeze blows in the chop and shuts them down!
