Solano County opens the great outdoors – and golf courses, kind of
FAIRFIELD — Solano County officials have come under increased pressure to lift restrictions on outdoor activities – and most particularly, golf.
The county did just that Friday, amending the stay-at-home health directive “to include recreational outdoor activities as essential activities,” a statement from the county said.
However, the order does require any groups to be members of the same household.
“The amended health order allows for Solano County residents to participate in a variety of healthy outdoor activities, including, but not limited to golfing, hiking, biking, walking, bicycling, mountain biking, boating and jogging – all while making sure people can maintain a safe physical distance of 6 feet from each other and only gathering with members of the same household,” the statement said.
