I dont know for sure but I dont think that is the color. I have a feeling its going to take just a bit longer for the color to debute. But thats just my guess no knowledge or inside info behind that what so ever!

I saw the new color today at marine Unlimited with Gary D. It looks like a great color. Chartruese down the side with a green back and pearl over coat.

It will be a totally new color. It is for clear water. We are going to add just a little color to the head and gill areas. This is just for looks to catch fishermen, the color catches them GREAT right now. If you like throwing jerkbaits in our clear reservoirs, you will like this one.

Gary, when you say "it is for clear water", how clear do you mean? What's the least water visibility it would be effective before going to another color?

Are we talking about Sexy Chartreuse Shad by Lucky Craft?

I order a bunch of this color from Tacklewarehouse online already. They look great. LV500 and Pointer 100.

The Sexy Shad color has been good to me this year.

I'm excited to use the Lucky Craft versions. They are by far my favorite hardbaits.

Good question, here's my thoughts. A good clear water color will actually work in water that is not so clear, say 2 to 3 feet of visibility and as clear as you can get. Fish can see up to 8 times better than we can in the water. ( I read this somewhere, I'm not 100% sure it's factual) Their lateral lines will pick up the bait even in dirty water. Sound from the bait will draw their attention. The clearer the water the more bass rely on their sight. A good clear water color to me is pretty transparent. Ever pick up a pond smelt? They are really "see thru", except for the vein "bloodline" and their "guts". Transparent is more natural and they can see it in pretty "colored" water. Ghost Minnow has always been my favorite, but I've always wanted a more natural look for my jerkbaits. To some guys this new color may look too plain. Please see one in the water, the color stands out much better. I would of said intestines instead of guts, but I can't spell for crap. I took a shot at it anyway. :D

Plain color works just fine at many times. I.E. the Glass minnow put out by another minnow co. It is fairly clear, but works really well. Looking forward to the new Lucky Craft color. Want some in the pointer and staycee. Bill K :)

Gary, what will be the name of the new color? Maybe you should call it "Glory" since it will be transparent with guts color...you know..."No guts No Glory"!

I'll take a dozen.

Just thought I'd let you all know there is now a photo of the new color. In fact it's the exact bait Mr. Dobyns was slaying them on just a few weeks ago!

Beautiful! Question tho, what makes the "ghost" colors more appealing? I mean a shad in nature is not transparent.

You got us. Ask the fish, they may not tell you why but, they'll let you know if they like it or not! :)

One of the few people that knows what a fish thinks around here is probably Gary and it is his color so there you have it.

I guess the best way to tell other than that is to tie one on and find out.

That photo just doesn't do the color justice as you said. Also, there are going to be a few changes around the gills and head of the bait. This bait "looks special" in the water.

The bait in the sunlight looks 100X better - but, that's tough to capture in a photograph!

No doubt in my mind, this WILL be the most sold Lucky Craft Color for 2008... and it'll only be around 6 months of 08!

Greg, what I meant by that was it'll be at least June by the time it is ready to sell and/or fish. So it'll only be around 6 months for 08.

Gary, well done! Such a great natural looking color with what appears (lighting may affect the image) to be a brown back and it also appears to have a hint of a Chartreuse lateral line? Awesome job Gary and on the Satysee 90 v2 as well? FINALLY!!!! I look for more exciting and great products to come from your renewed alignment with Lucky Craft. When you taking Swindle out on the Delta for a filming? LOL!!!!! Take care Gary!
