I have never done it before. Where could I get a vise that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Molds? Melting Pot? Just looking into it... what it costs and what not... all input appreciated.

You can also look at Barlowstackle.com
they will have everything you need - they should even have vise options under fly tying. If not, you can get one for $30.00 from cabelas, it is not a real heavy duty one that is going to last forever, but it is a cheap way to start and it comes as a traveling kit for tying in the hotel room before the tourney if needed. I like mine and have got good use out of it so far.

Take a look at Tackle Underground. Lots of threads about lure making. Check it out.
