Hummingbird set up question
Hummingbird set up question
I’m running a hummingbird 859 di on the trolling motor. I think I have it set up wrong cause at times I lose the pic it shows just like “stadic” for lack of a better description. Is there a guide anywhere to know how to set it? Any help would be awesome
Re: Hummingbird set up question
Post a picture of a screen shot if you can. What transducer are you running? Sensitivity level? Contrast level? Clear mode or max mode?
Re: Hummingbird set up question
I wish I had a pic to post. It’s weird it will be reading good then all of a sudden it like it’s not reading anything the bottom doesn’t even register the depth will say the depth but it’s like the sonar is blank...
The transducer is the one that came with it when I brought it di 200/455
Clear mode
Sonar sensitivity 15 out of 20
Fish I’d sensitivity 7 out of 10
Di sensitivity 15 out of 20
Contrast 14 out of 20
Are these out of whack? The transducer has an option to switch dual beam quad beam do I need to adjust that?

Re: Hummingbird set up question
Does this happen after you start the motor and make a run? Or just randomly while you're trolling?
Re: Hummingbird set up question
Just randomly, I will be fishing reading the bottom then i lose the bottom then it comes back. I assumed maybe it was just a soft bottom so it couldn’t read it
Re: Hummingbird set up question
It does happen time to time when I first put the trolling motor in the water
