On May 11th, 2024 Cal Sag Bass Angler Dave Moore of St. John, IN was stopped by Illinois Conservation Police during a Cal Sag Bass Anglers tournament as he arrived to weigh his fish. His catch was confiscated and an investigation is pending. Dave is forever banned from participating in any Cal Sag or Big Lake Bass Angler events or any of its affiliated events.

'I don't like no cheaters': Tug engineer catches angler allegedly cheating in tournament
A tug engineer’s quick actions exposed a cheating bass angler, against whom charges have yet to be filed.
Joe, an engineer working a tugboat on the Calumet, stepped outside for a smoke Friday night and saw a boat pull into the barge slip.

‘‘I wondered what he was doing,’’ said Joe, who asked that his last name not be used. ‘‘He spun the boat around, then started stringing these fish up and tied them to the wall.’’

Joe’s a fisherman and knew something was up. He pulled out his phone and took videos of 2 1/2 and 1 1/2 minutes.

I can't stomach these A..Holes who think they can get away with cheating !!! The bad part is who knows how long and how much they have been doing it and how much money they have stolen from the other anglers !!
