76 boats endured some nasty weather with good results for most of the field.
Also - Kudos to Ron Tobey. Ron was rear ended yesterday and his boat knocked off the trailer and drug 50 yards down the street by some knucklehead lady who was busy texting instead of driving. Ron got the boat back on the trailer and put it in the water for a test and everything worked fine sans some heavy duty cosmetic damage. They say karma is a biatch - the lady had to have her new SUV towed away and Ron stuck it to the fish and is currently in first place
Photos of Ron's boat will be posted later on when I can convert the photos.

Re: USAC CLEAR LAKE PRO RESULTS - DAY 1
Ya think "the lake is back" ? I don't think that lake has been unhealthy for a long time, the fishing pressure has hurt the bite. Those fish were inactive with little pressure since late fall till now , movin' up for pre spawn they have not been pressured and are now getting stuck and taken for boat rides. Hopefully the high water year will make a successful spawn and good fishing this spring My belief is fishing pressure makes them lure shy and there are so many tourneys there that add to the pressure. With a tough economy all the the orgs want a piece of one of the best lakes ever and local tackle sales will exploit it as well in my opionion. Not tryin' to stir the pot here just wanted to express my thoughts.

the best way to catch a big one is don't lose um sharp hooks set drag retie!
