The 2012 USAC Nevada Trail Season Opener hosted the largest USAC field in the past two seasons with 19 boats, all looking to get the points race started for 2012 AOY and TOC races respectively.
The event snuck in right between two cloudy and rainy days, the anglers all managed to weigh-in fish and it took a solid performance with 11.61 lbs by Derek Yamomoto and John Mackey to take the season opening win, a performance that paid off $1,650 in cash.
Second place went to the always competitive team of Stephan Camden and Moses Mokuahi, the duo brought 10.19 to the scales that was good for $685.
Third place went to the 2011 AOY team of Eric Ocampo and Dave Naugle, just missing the second place spot with 10.16 lbs however Eric's 4.13 lb donkey took Big Bass of the Tournament and boosted their third place finish payout to $830.
New USAC Nevada Trail Pro-Team Randy Black and Paul Addi brought an impressive 9.69 pound mix bag to weigh-in, their performance was good for fourth place and $220 cash.
First out of the money was the team of Joe Raftery and Tom Martin, the team just missed a check with 9.55 lbs but left with $50 in Basstackledepot.com giftcards.
